My Wife is Famous

Lamar Willians of the Star Telegram ran an article about the upcoming benefit dinner in this morning's paper. If you don't know already the Student Council and National Junior Honor Society at my school (Young Junior High) has put together a benefit dinner and silent auction benefiting our family and the Tuckers (Kathy also teaches at my school and her five-year old son has spinal cancer: they are a wonderful family) Tuesday night April 26th at Martin High School. Spring Creek barbeque is donating AND serving all the food (that place is awesome). You can also see what my new life-long friend Kyle Whitaker has to say at: www.whitakerweb.com/meilissa_updates All this leads me to believe that not only is my wife beautiful and charming, but she is now famous throughout the metroplex.

Dear Jessica and Jake,

Thank you both for the amazing and incredible gift of this wonderful site and for sharing so much with all of us.

In a few of the comments they mention a prayer calendar from your church. Is there any way to get a copy of it? Maybe you could send one home with Cindy?

I continue to pray (along with thousands of others it seems) for all of you daily.

Love,

Anita (Cindy's sister)

Jake & Jess-
This is awesome! I love to read the updates and now Jess, you don't have to answer my "BIG DOG" emails... You do wear many hats (pun not intended!) famous, special, mom, wife, friend, Christian, daughter, neice, and list could go on, but famous is pretty cool! Hang in there, and know we love you guys- Tell Kaitlyn she looks like the next Brandy Chastain, but she's not allowed to take her shirt off when she scores her Olympic winning goal! Prayers about you are daily. Take care.

Love you JAKE & JESS,

Hi Jessica and Jake -- It was great to read your updates and the joy of the clear brain scan. Dave and I are in Mexico and we are hoping to see you when we stop off in Dallas on our way home to Portland. I will plan to arrive, and stay at a hotel, on Thursday, May 5th. I will hope to see Jessica and the girls on Friday.

We keep you all in our thoughts and prayers,
Love,
Lynne and Dave

Our prayers are with your family during this time. My family knows all too well the stress, fears, & anger with cancer.

Our 5 1/2 yr. old son, Hunter was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor on Nov. 25th, 2003. He fought a tough battle with the help of doctors at Children's Medical Center, & UT Southwestern. He won his victory over cancer on March 25th, 2004 when he entered into Heaven.

We have 3 other children, Jordyn is 10yrs. old, Carlee 3yrs., Gunnar is 2 yrs. Jordyn has struggled the past year, because she is so much older than the other two. Hunter was her best friend & buddy. The little ones, still know there is a missing piece to our family.

I tell you this, to know you are not alone, in this fight. Our prayer is not only for Jessica to be healed, but that your family withstands the road ahead you must travel.

Please know your children are in our prayers as well. For more info. on Hunter you can visit: prayforhunter.com

Please feel free to contact us, if for any reason, we can be of some help or encouragement, to any of you.
