Yikes: A New School

A few weeks ago, Jess and I realized that the Yikes (that’s what we call Jadyn and Bryn because they are the Younger Kaylor Kids, Jadyn and Katelyn are the Okes for Older Kaylor Kids) would need to go to preschool at least some of the time instead of staying home all the time with Jess. We’ve had a ton of help and a ton of offers for watching them, but we wanted them to have as much consistency as we could give them. We have found a delightful place in Walnut Ridge Baptist in Mansfield (they have bent over backwards to help us). The Yikes will go on Tuesdays and Thursdays and today was their first day. Jadyn and Bryn are very proud of their new backpacks and bed rolls (for naps). When Jess picked them up today, Bryn was asleep on the director’s shoulder. I think this is going to be a place that both the Yikes and we like.

I am glad that they enjoyed it. If they ever need a bouncer at these preschools than I will do it.

Dear Jacob & Jessica,

W.L. just told our BSF class about your site, so I visited it and caught up on events to date. So nice to know I won't wake you up by calling, can just leave note here.

You are all very much in our thoughts and prayers, and we are persuaded that your positive attitude, sense(s) of humor, and faith will see you through this.

The comments about the "cranial prosthesis" were particularly hilarious!

We love you all, and we pray for you daily.

Dear Jake and Jess,

This is Molly, an old friend of your dad and Donna's from Pantego. I wanted to let you know that we are praying for you in the Journey Community Group, and in the Women's Ministry prayer time. We've been praying with a reminder from Melanie Martin of the friends who lowered their sick friend through a hole in the roof to be placed at the feet of Jesus. That is right where we want Jessica to be.

Jake, your sense of humor seems to me to be a genetic thing! I'm sure you and Jess take turns lifting each other's spirits through this thing. What a blessing!

Lots of love and prayers,
Molly and Kevin Bennett
