Jessica was originally diagnosed with breast cancer in March of 2005. She was married to Jake with three children Katelyn (19), Jadyn (12), and Bryn (11). "Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vine; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet, I will rejoice in the LORD! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation. The Sovereign Lord is my strength! He will make me as surefooted as a deer and bring me safely over the mountains." Hab 3:17-19
God reminds me each morning how true His word is ... whether in the context of the Old Testament days, or today.
...Even though Jessica's hair is gone and her body doesn't work as it once did; even though the medicine fails and the pain seems only to worsen; even though the medical bills mount and the bank account dwindles, YET, Jessica and Jake will rejice in the LORD! They will be joyful in the God of their salvation. The Soverign Lord is THEIR STRENGTH!! He will make them as surefooted as a deer and bring them SAFELY over the mountains.
